Welcome to acehighschool.org and the Academy for Career Education,
also known as ACE High School. ACE is a tuition-free charter
school in Reno, Nevada that infuses construction- and engineering-career-applicable
methods into core, high-school curriculum.
Here, our current student body can show off their amazing accomplishments,
from building an eco-friendly home to numerous awards won in
state- and national competitions. Here, prospective students
and their parents can meet our highly skilled staff and learn
more about the exciting educational advantages ACE High School
has to offer.
Within our four walls, students develop important life skills
such as personal finance and computer literacy. They tackle
the same subjects they would in any other high school: humanities,
mathematics, English and social studies. But picking up where
other schools leave off, ACE takes learning out of the clas
room; into the world; onto the job site.
Students following one of our career programs—in building trades,
computer aided drafting design or diesel equipment technology—get
the opportunity to apply theories taught in textbooks to actually
making something work, building something with their own hands
and, perhaps more importantly, working as a team.
ACE offers students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience
while still in high school. It's this hands-on learning environment,
this real-world training that gives ACE graduates an advantage
in today's competitive job market, and better prepares them
for higher education in the fields of construction and engineering.
